About the Neuroscience Center
We are one of the nation's largest comprehensive neuroscience programs with unparalleled physician expertise for the treatment of brain and spine conditions.
Our goal is to provide patients and families greater convenience and better experiences to help them get better, and feel better, too. That’s why we built the Neuroscience Center – to help the 50 million Americans facing a brain or spine condition.
Our team of nationally and internationally renowned neuroscience experts includes specialists uniquely trained to treat complex and routine neurologic conditions, such as stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, brain and spine tumors, epilepsy and more.
Providing Comfort and a Sense of Well-Being
We’ve designed the environment of the OhioHealth Neuroscience Center not only to help the unique neuroscience patient get better, but feel better, too.
Patients with neurologic disorders face unique challenges. Some suffer from cognitive and sensory deficits, so they can easily be confused and sensitive to noise and bright light. Some suffer from seizures and lack of motor coordination, making it difficult to walk. Our facility is designed to respond to these challenges in ways that provide comfort and improve the patient’s overall sense of well-being.
Some of our state-of-the-art features inside the Neuroscience Center include:
- A dimmer-style light fixture
- Large windows that bring in comfortable, natural light to further create a health-restoring haven
- Sound-absorbing panels in the walls and ceilings to foster a quiet, calming environment
- Rest stops along a sunlit concourse for patients who get tired and need a place to comfortably pause
