Dedicated Services for Those Living with Neurologic Conditions
We provide our patients and the community access to free support groups, education and resource connections throughout Ohio both in person and virtually.
We are with you every step of the way
At The Dempsey Family Education and Resource Center, we help you and your loved ones better understand and manage your neurologic condition. Our team of trained nurses, social workers, administrative associates and volunteers provide one-on-one support, inform you of questions you should ask your healthcare team, and resources in your community. We partner with healthcare professionals, such as, physicians, rehabilitation therapists and behavioral health clinicians to offer you additional programs.
Our center offers a range of benefits and services at no cost for inpatients, outpatients and their care partners, including:
- Free education presentations, classes and materials
- Art and music therapy
- Patient and care partner support groups
- Cognitive fitness
- Communication and public speaking groups
- Help you sign up and use MyChart
- Notary services for healthcare documents
- Chair, floor and restorative yoga sessions
- Help understanding how to choose a care facility
- Connect you to community resources
- Discuss advance directives and end-of-life care
- Interactive computer access and office support

In Person
The Dempsey Family Education and Resource Center is located within the OhioHealth Neuroscience Center at Riverside Methodist Hospital, on the first floor of the silver tower across from Starbucks.
You may valet park your vehicle at the red or blue entrance, or self-park in the red garage. A parking voucher will be provided.
