When You’re Admitted
At OhioHealth Grant Medical Center Ann Burba Crane Center for Women and Babies, you will be given a comfortable, private, home-like birthing suite that features innovative technology. We provide natural birthing options, including birthing balls and sleeping accommodations for your partner. Here, you will labor, deliver and recover.
During labor and delivery, two support people are allowed to be with you. You may take still photographs throughout your labor and delivery. However, use of recording devices, such as video and digital cameras, are restricted in the Labor and Delivery and Mother/Infant units to ensure the privacy and safety of you and your family.
After delivery, you will be moved to a private postpartum room that includes comfortable sleeping accommodations for you and your partner, a private bathroom and shower, adjustable lighting, telephone, television and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Meeting Your Baby
After a normal delivery, we encourage you to keep your baby with you in your room as much as possible to begin the natural bonding process. If you require rest or additional medical care, your baby may be cared for in the nursery near the post-partum room.
