Maternity at Dublin Methodist Hospital
Our team consists of board-certified obstetricians, neonatologists, anesthesiologists and Certified Nurse Midwives.
Nationwide Children's Hospital operates our Level II Neonatal Special Care Nursery. Together, we offer your baby world-class neonatal expertise within the walls of Dublin Methodist Hospital.
When It’s Time To Deliver
We encourage you to pre-register for your hospital stay to avoid extra time and paperwork when you arrive to deliver. To pre-register, please call (614) 566.1515. Or, you can register online at ohiohealth.com/pre-registration.
When You Arrive
Convenient free parking is next to the main entrance for patients and visitors. Use the main elevators to reach the Labor and Delivery unit on the hospital’s second floor. During daytime hours, enter through the front door. You’ll be greeted and assisted to Labor and Delivery.
After regular business hours, please enter the hospital through the Emergency Department. Our staff will assist you to the second floor.
Free parking is located adjacent to the hospital entrances.
When You’re Admitted
You’ll have a private, tranquil birthing suite. It includes state-of-the-art labor and delivery technology, a private bathroom and walk-in shower, and natural lighting. Amenities include comfortable sleeping accommodations for you and your partner. You will labor, deliver and recover here.
During labor and delivery, your support person may be in the room with you.
After delivery, you’ll be moved to a private postpartum room. It includes comfortable sleeping accommodations for you and your partner. Other amenities include a private bathroom and shower, adjustable lighting, rocking chair or glider, telephone, television and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Meeting Your Baby
You will have the chance to hold your new baby as soon as he or she is born. Your baby will be placed directly on your bare chest for Kangaroo Care.
After a normal delivery, we encourage you to keep your baby with you in your room as much as possible to begin the natural bonding process. If you require rest or additional medical care, your baby may be cared for in the nursery near the postpartum room.
Visitor Policy

A doula will be permitted for labor and delivery. Doulas must follow the same policies and screenings as visitors. Laboring patients who are minors may have their parents or guardians as visitors, in addition to the parent-to-be of the baby. Care sites with NICUs will follow Nationwide Children’s Hospital visitor management policy.
Visitors park free in the lot in front of the hospital. A patient liaison can direct them to your room.
